So first we work on improving the inside (the underlying issues and the root cause of the issue) so the outside (usually the symptoms you are coming for) will consequently improve.<\/p>\n\n

Acupuncture doesn\u2019t cure anything but by tapping into your energy, it has the potential to make a profound change within you that allows your body to heal itself.<\/p>\n\n

And this reminds me of how I got into acupuncture in the first place.<\/p>\n\n

The story takes us back to 2003. I was living in London working long hours in an industry that I was not interested in. I was desperately looking to do something that would be \u201cmeaningful\u201d. And I just broke up with my long term boyfriend.<\/p>\n\n

I was exhausted, sad, angry, lost.<\/p>\n\n

I was on holiday with my sister in Brittany when I started to get a terrible migraine. I was taking medication but it would not go. One morning I felt so unwell my sister called the ambulance.<\/p>\n\n

By the time they took me to the hospital, I could barely move the muscle of my face. The right side of my face was paralysed.<\/p>\n\n

After hours of medical exams, the doctor told me that I had a bell\u2019s palsy, there was no cure, it would go with time but my bell\u2019s palsy seemed quite severe so it may take as long as a year. In fact some never recovered totally\u201d!<\/p>\n\n

During the next few weeks my face was as paralysed as it could be, I was exhausted, feeling helpless and had zero motivation. I was spending my days on the sofa I was feeling pretty depressed by the whole situation I was in!<\/p>\n\n

After 3 weeks, I was advised to try acupuncture. I was not particularly convinced and the idea of needles was really off putting.<\/p>\n\n

My first experience was quite dramatic. I felt strong sensation in my body and left feeling very different. I can\u2019t explain! That is the thing with Energy, it is hard to put words into it !<\/p>\n\n

I went the next day again. And a huge smile on my face at the end of the treatment. No idea why. Just felt great. It\u2019s like I had drunk a magical potion.<\/p>\n\n

I went back the day after , and by that time I couldn\u2019t wait for my treatment. And I left from that third session as a new person.<\/p>\n\n

Was my bell\u2019s palsy gone? Nope! It was there but it was no longer my enemy.\u00a0 I had compassion for it and for this body that seemed to have been so poorly looked after.<\/p>\n\n

The 4th<\/sup> day I had energy, motivation and I knew I would get better soon. I took the decision to go back to London. I found an acupuncturist again and had 3 sessions per week for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, my face was back to its old self.<\/p>\n\n

The next year I enrolled in a degree of Traditional Chinese Medicine and became an acupuncturist 3 years later.<\/p>\n\n

Since then I have helped people the same way as I was helped, by tapping into their Energy.<\/p>\n\n
