Below are a few ways acupuncture can help.
Increase blood flow: Fertility massage and acupuncture are designed to promote reproductive health and support conception. The techniques used in fertility massage are focused on the abdominal and pelvic areas to improve blood flow to the reproductive organs. This increased blood flow can help improve function, remove toxins, and promote healing.
Regulate the menstrual cycle: Calculating ovulation can be difficult with an irregular menstrual cycle. Using holistic techniques can help regulate your menstrual cycle, by increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs and reducing stress and anxiety, both of which can impact fertility.

THE GARDEN ANALOGY IN FERTILITY
The garden analogy is often used when discussing fertility, which is absolutely appropriate, for germination depends on just the right balance of nutrients in the soil, a good balance of light and moisture, not too hot, not too cold… all the things we need for a good crop to grow.
And the quality of the seeds is just as important as the receptive nourishment of the soil. Healthy plants will grow from healthy seeds.
In Chinese medicine, we make our diagnosis in respect of the ‘climate’ and the internal condition. We call this the constitutional diagnosis. Our aim is to help clear stagnation and blockages, to supplement deficiencies, improving your nutritive uptake, and to balance the internal temperatures to create that nice incubatory climate to give the seeds a chance to germinate.
HOW DO FERTILITY ACUPUNCTURE & MASSAGE WORK TOGETHER?
I choose to provide a combination of therapies because the different therapies provide relief for different issues and systems throughout the body.
Fertility Acupuncture provides healing and relief for the immune system, nervous system and energy system. It targets issues such as stress, anxiety, sleeping problems, and other emotional or psychological issues, and in doing so aims to increase the number of good quality eggs the body creates and optimise the uterine environment for conception. Reiki energy healing affects the body in a similar way.
Fertility Massage is more physical in approach and the targeted pressure applied provides relief for ailments in the reproductive system, endocrine system and digestive system, by stimulating these systems, increasing blood flow, reducing inflammation and helping the healing process of any medical issues.
By combining the therapies, we are targeting multiple systems and increasing the overall healing benefits for the mind, body and soul.
HOW DO I WORK?
For any issues regarding fertility, the first consultation is 1 hour. It gives me the time to take a full case history going back to your childhood. Everything is important! Emotions, first periods, type of exercises you used to do back then, your medical history as well as your family’s medical history. I will ask you to bring scans, blood tests results so I can have a good look at what has been done so far and what needs to be done. I may recommend further tests if I think it’s necessary. We will talk then about the plan of actions. And then you will have your first treatment. Subsequently, during the course of treatments, I often recommend having acupuncture and fertility massage. Both modalities are so complementary!
During your acupuncture treatment, you will be offered to have Reiki as well. It’s free of charge and it’s only if you want to. I find that Reiki complements very well the acupuncture session and my patients usually love it!
