Take a break from the hustle of city living

Living in London is an incredible experience, always lively and endless places to go, but it can also be tiring and draining, and require a higher level of self care to prevent negative side-effects arising. Working long hours, traveling long commutes on cramped tubes, and sitting in endless traffic are a daily part of life for many people, which over time can cause higher stress levels in the body and begin to have negative effects on both mental and physical health.

Why can this become a potential health problem?

Pollution and higher risk of illness
Our immune systems are always working hard to fight any potentially harmful bacteria, viruses or pollutants that enter the body, therefore it’s important to keep the body and mind functioning at its best to help prevent long term health issues.

Stress factors
The amount of people, the traffic, the commute, the stressful job; many factors of working in a big city can keep the body functioning under heightened stress for long periods.

Crowds of people
Large amounts of people bring large mixes of different energy. Some people are more prone to taking on the energy of other people than others, and also some more aware of it happening than others. Listening to your body when in a city environment is key to noticing when you need to relax and recharge.

Taking a break from the hustle and bustle
When the body is under too much stress, it becomes compromised, and this can begin showing up as medical ailments, such as chronic pain, digestive disorders, fertility issues, pms and deteriorating mental health. My holistic treatments provide a space for you to relax, recharge and heal from these damaging factors. Whether you are local to London or not, I work in both Monument and Kennington on different days, and in both locations it’s fairly easy to get to me.

Visiting me at the Light Centre in Clapham
The Light Centre is on Clapham High Street, minutes away from Clapham Common tube station. It’s also only a short walk away from Clapham North and South stations.
